Windows 10 problem with JBidwatcher

Reported by Bart Koslow | November 3rd, 2016 @ 07:19 AM | in 2.1 Release

Once I minimize I cannot restore to full view. Instead I receive a message that the database must already be in use? This did not happen in any of the prior versions of Windows.

I want to take a moment to say thank you for all the work that has gone into this application. This is the first time I have had any kind of problem with it.

I'm having exactly the same problem. If I minimize the application it simply disappears from the screen and the tray. I then have to open up the task manager, kill it manually, and then restart it in order to be able to see it again. I do not know if it would still fire a snipe in that condition so I guess I will try that on some item I do not really care about in order to find out.

    Greetings,
If I recall correctly, there is a 'Minimize to System Tray' option in the settings. If you turn that off (uncheck it?) it may help.

It's possible Windows has changed the system tray so it doesn't work anymore, which would leave you without a window to access. (It should have put the little JBidwatcher yellow-background Jay in the Tray area, so you could click it and restore it.)

In any case, disabling that setting should make it minimize to a normal Windows entry.

I'm sorry for all the problems JBidwatcher is having. I've been...unable to work on it for a painfully long while.

    Dear Morgan,
I have been a BidWatcher user for a decade and did make a small contribution to your project. I had been avoiding EBay because I returned to college to earn my graduate degree - my budget was mapped to the penny- and, thus, had not used BidWatcher for quite some time. Tonight, however, I opened BidWatcher and found I am unable to log in with the EBay servers in the program.
I receive the following error: https://www.ebay.com/n/error
    I am using Windows 10.
    Can you help me out?
Thank you... I love your program and it has served me well.

    Hello,
Sigh... was trying to post the activity log from the program.
    Attaching as text file instead.
