canot create new auctions

Reported by Peter Walker | July 11th, 2015 @ 09:35 AM | in 2.1 Release

When getting my watched items, program says found 25 items, but fails to display them.
Looking through log it describes "parsing" items from my ebay watch list, but I get nothing.

Also if I try to create an auction manually from an item number, i get nothing displayed.

Was working fine untill I deleted lots of old finished items.

Have re-installed, same!

Also problem logging into user community. I forgot my password, but when i ask for a reset, website gives error.

I will submit error log now.

Thanks

Peter

I had the same problem and send an error report from within jbidwatcher ("error log" sent a few minutes ago).

Curiously, some auctions could well be added to jbidwatcher but not others.

Obviously, the error log analysis tells that ebay.co.uk makes the problem by sending auction info that jbidwatcher cannot parse any more as it used to do.

So, I solved it, by unclicking "Prefer non-US server" in the "ebay" preference panel (I'm on a mac; two well different machines that were affected the same way). Click Save. Then, Quit and restart jbidwatcher. Re-add auction by entering its number.

Clearly, the ebay.com server still sends infos that jbidwatcher can parse (the .co.uk does not anymore : hence, the bug). This fixed the issue on my two machines. But I add to insist adding "working" auctions and finally refractory auctions could be added as well. This sounds rather instable and unpredictive.

Now, the other big question : will snipping work as well?

Many thanks, this solved the problem for me also.

I noticed recently Ebay.co.uk changed its web interface and put more dumb "effects" and sliding windows, for the kiddies, so obviously something has changed that effects JBidwatcher.

    Thanks again

    Thanks Francesco,
    Fixed this for me also.
I suppose time will tell with the sniping...
    Cheers,
    Duncan
