JBidwatcher apparently blocked Acrobat launching on WinNT

Yesterday, I noticed I could not open any documents in my Acrobat application (which was open with no documents loaded). I kept trying to open a new document by double-clicking in Explorer and nothing. Finally, I closed the Jbid applet in the tray and when I did, all the docs I'd been trying to open were loaded in Acrobat. Acrobat ver. is 6.0 (I know I'm lame). And the O/S I'm using is... drumroll please... Windows NT. OK, so I'm an unbelievable luddite. What can I say.
