  Actually I go through a bit of effort to support some context menu operations in text fields.

  If you could please give me examples of which text fields aren't presenting a context menu (and what platform you're on), I'll look into fixing them.

  You're right. I just went looking for which text field it was that

  prompted me to file the ticket and it took me a bit to find one that

  didn't have a context menu.

  I incorrectly assumed it was an artifact of your widget library, and

  that if it was broken one place, it would be the same everywhere.

  If you are selective adding this capability, might it be a better

  approach to subclass the widget to do this, and then just make sure you

  are universally using your subclass?

  Sure, it looks like the field on the new search dialog suffer from this.

  ...and what platform you're on...

  Windows XP at the moment.

  Of course keyboard shortcuts still work, so that's the obvious workaround.
