Import problem

Reported by Kimo B. Yap | May 1st, 2008 @ 10:38 AM | in Support

Inability to import v1.0.2 db. Goes through "loading auctions" for a long time (about 10min on a powerbook G4 1ghz) then says it gets a launch error. Trying again either repeats the same behaviour, or if it does start it has an empty db.

    Greetings,

Yeah, it looks like it loaded and imported all your auctions, but something went wrong in terms of memory and Internet access. It had a lot of read failures, so it was having trouble talking to eBay, AND it ran out of memory, and so lots of other operations were failing.

How many auctions do you have (including completed)?

I think I replied to the e-mail sent from this ticket, but it appears that doesn't go back to the tracking db. IIRC I said there I had 316 auctions, or something close to that. Currently I have 333. I'd have more except old jbidwatcher eventually gets into "out of memory" loops and I have to archive things off.

This seems fixed (at least for me) in b7. Thanks!-kby
