Snipe bid did not go through

Can anyone help. Snipe bid did not go through. I was signed in. Here is the error.

You were trying to bid $7.02 for an item whose minimum bid is $8.99.
JBidwatcher should have logged a better message, but it probably showed the bid as underbid in the display. (In red, with parenthesis around it.)
